Celebrity Apprentice – Week 6: Two Contestants Get the Ax from Donald Trump
As winning project manager from last week, Tionne (T-Boz)
Watkins gives a $20,000 check to her charity, the Sickle Cell Sickle Cell
Foundation of Georgia.
Donald Trump meets with the teams, and once again mentions Dennis Rodman and his issues with drinking. He tells the team that Dennis is getting help for his problem.
New Teams and a New Challenge
Donald rearranges the teams, putting Hershel Walker, Clint
Black, Joan Rivers, Natalie Gulbis, and Khloe Kardashian on KOTU. Jesse James,
Melissa Rivers, Annie Duke, Tionne Watkins, and Brande Roderick will comprise
Athena. Joan and Melissa are now on separate teams, but Joan says they are both
competitive and will fight hard to win for their individual teams. Brian is
away at a concert, and Trump will decide which team he will join next week.
For the next challenge, the teams will create a viral video for All Small and Mighty Detergent. Melissa Rivers is chosen for Athena for her 15-years of producing experience. Clint volunteers for KOTU, saying he has directed 12-15 country music videos. The winning project manager will get $20,000 for their charity.
Both Teams Want to Use Midgets
The women of Athena instantly suggest the concept of
midgets bathing Jesse James. Jesse, however, says he is not comfortable with
that concept. KOTU also wants to use midgets in their video. Clint comes up
with a dirty joke, and convinces the team to use it as part of the video.
Hershel is away and will return at the end of the task.
Executives from All describe the target audience for the video: women 25 and older. They are "women first" and anything that would be offensive would be going too far. The title of the video is also very important.
After the meeting, Team KOTU realizes they will have to clean up their original idea. Clint, however, is set on using the concept, and brushes off input from the other team members. At one point, Joan Rivers gets down on her knees to beg that Clint listen to the team.
Athena Has Midgets Bathe Jesse James
On Team Athena, Annie and Melissa clash a bit, but overall
everything is organized and running smoothly. Melissa is a very good project
manager. Annie researches the most successful viral videos and sees that
midgets are used in many of them. The women convince Jesse to go along with
their original concept of three midgets bathing him.
Don Trump, Jr. checks in with Athena just as the midgets arrive for their audition. He asks the team if this is the right concept to work with the demographic. The midgets are dressed up as Tide bottles as they clean and swear at Jesse James. Everyone on Team Athena thinks the video is very funny.
Clint Black Shuts Out His Team
Clint continues to shut out his team members. Joan is
shocked that he is acting like a tyrant, and also upset with the other women
for not speaking up. They hire a midget to act out the lines of Clint's joke,
and it's obvious he won't work. Joan asks Clint what his Plan B is, and he
decides to be in the video himself.
Joan is so mad at Clint that she says she will never work with him again. By the time Hershel arrives, he realizes things look bad for his team. He suggests putting pop ups over the heads of the people in the video to try and make it flow a bit better. When it comes time to edit, however, Clint locks the door and works alone with the editor.
Perez Hilton Gives His Opinion
Trump views the videos with the All executives. Then he
calls celebrity blogger Perez Hilton for his opinion. Hilton loves the video
with Jesse James, but says neither video seems to hit the demographic All is
looking for.
In the boardroom, Jesse says working with the women was a great experience. Joan reiterates her displeasure in working with Clint. The teams watch both videos again before Trump tells them who won.
Double Firing
The executives from All hated both videos, so there was no
winner. Melissa says Tionne volunteered to come back into the boardroom. She
also brings Brande back with her. Trump reminds Tionne of a previous Apprentice
contestant named Bradford, who volunteered to come back into the boardroom and
was prompting fired as a result. Trump doesn't like people who volunteer to be
axed. Tionne is fired.
Clint brings Khloe and Natalie in with him. Trump tells Khloe that he didn't like the fact that she left last week because of a DUI class she has to take. He says he didn't know that she had gotten a DUI and wouldn't have allowed her on the show if he had. Despite Clint's obvious failure as a project manager, Khloe is fired.
